The renovation project including expansion, modernization, and reconfiguration of the facility will cost $12 million with an additional $1.25 million needed for equipment and furnishings. This is being funded by a $12 million building loan and a campaign with a goal of $1.25 million. If the campaign goal is exceeded, the financial position of the Hospital will be improved. These figures have been substantiated by financial feasibility studies and through conservative projections of future revenue. The significance of this project is that it should provide the Hospital with the ability to generate more revenue, and improve its future viability as an area healthcare provider.
Over the past few years, Woodlawn Hospital has made significant strides to improve the delivery of healthcare by providing more services and investing into its facility, equipment, and personnel. This project is critical, because without it, the Hospital cannot reach the next level of capability. Reaching the next level depends upon expanding space and acquiring new equipment. Having these facilities will attract medical professionals, which will inspire confidence among our present and potential patients.
